Throw in some PDR, DR% any very few things would be a risk.Īnd just checking, but if more than one Insight/Prayer Merc's say 3, you get 58, 58 and 58 right? Not 58 from the highest level Med Merc, and 29/29 from say a 12 Med Insight Merc. So I may be way off, correct me if i'm wrong (really please do, I wanna know)īut thats 58 from Merc, 113 from yourself.ġ368 Life every pulse, damn if thats right, thats alot of life. His Prayer aura is a plus for life regeneration, but can be the main desired feature in builds like the Salvation Paladin that really needs life regeneration. Assuming something like level 90 Merc's with Andy's (+2) COH (+2) with Paladins with max plus skills (FCR, res, etc aside) I would venture to guess Shako, Enigma, Sereph's, Hoto, HoZ, SOJ x2, Arach, BC, Skillers, Torch and Anni, Skill shrine (although 8 would be a pita) would be the best setup unless I'm missing rare item things. Prayer Cold Merc A budget mercenary choice for crowd control, using his cold spells to stop monsters (though you should look into Ice act 1 rogue). Hmm, I would love to see the max numbers for something like that. I still want to be in a game with 8 high level Prayer Merc's, with like 8 Clerics/Abbots and basically be invincible with what, something like 600+ life healed a shot? If my merc uses Insight, its a Prayer Merc. That would give you a potential of healing x 16 just from mercs with insight. Similar to question 1, do multiple meditation auras stack? Seems to me that meditation is also a ping aura, and so if prayer stacks meditation would stack. Is that simply a statement of how prayer works, or is the prayer healing every second?Ĥ. Is the healing you get from cleansing or meditation in any way inferior to the healing directly from prayer? I know in the description of those two auras it says X healing every 2 seconds. Has it been tested and confirmed without a doubt?ģ. Does insight give a prayer merc double prayer. I'm talking about if you had 8 prayer mercs in a game would you have healing x 8 or healing x 1.Ģ. Basically, most people use an a2 merc because they are tanky and provide useful auras. But Im not sure which character would be best for that. I keep wanting to make an a3 and stack FCR and +skills gear on him. By all means, experiment with merc builds. I think having an act 2 merc with prayer aura, using insight doubles the healing you get from the prayer aura. To clarify my question so I can get a straight forward answer, I am talking about two prayer auras I am not talking about cleansing and prayer or meditation and prayer. However an a5 merc isnt as useful for a caster character, imo. However, I have not heard any confirmation from a second source. Do prayer auras stack? I have heard from one source that they do, because of the fact that prayer is a ping aura. The best place to look is on the secret cow level on Normal difficulty, but you might also find one anywhere between the start of Act IV and The Worldstone Keep level 2 on Normal difficulty, or anywhere up to the Monastery Barracks on Nightmare difficulty. If there is an expert on prayer aura out there or just a general D2 expert, I would like these very straight forward questions answered, because there is a lot of confusion and ambiguity out there about them.ġ. Barbarian is getting a lot of small tweaks like Grim Ward making enemies take more damage (a soft version of amp damage) Throw Mastery now grants a chance to pierce. Shadow Skills will have reduced timers or cooldowns. You might, if you’re lucky, find a 4-socket polearm in a loot drop or merchant, but only in an area of the correct level. Blade traps will now have synergies, and more damage. The runeword you need is RalTirTalSol, so make sure you add the runes in exactly that order. Prayer is used by some when the merc wields an Insight, due to the doubling effects to prayer (meditation synergy). Holy Freeze provides a safety blanket that is particularly useful in Hardcore, enabling safer farming, and is the most common PvM aura. Act 2 mercenaries (Desert Guards) can equip polearms, spears, & javelins. The A2 Merc is the most widely used due to the additional passive aura they can provide. Act 1 mercenaries (Rogue Scouts) can equip bows (including Amazon bows), crossbows, & quivers. Polearms are a more popular base for this runeword than staves, but you can basically follow the same recipe if you want an Insight stave. All mercenaries can equip helms, chests, gloves, boots, & belts. Instead, they equip it to their mercenary in order to benefit from its Meditation aura, which greatly boosts the player’s own mana regeneration. The Insight runeword, for polearms or staves, is one of the most overpowered of all, but most players don’t wield it themselves. The best runewords in Diablo 2: Resurrected are, let’s be honest, the really overpowered ones.
